GENOVA Palazzina Liberty di Scalinata Borghese
LUOGHI ABBANDONATI - ABANDONED PLACES
In fondo, a volte, non occorre andare poi così lontano sui monti o in mezzo ai boschi per trovare luoghi o paesi abbandonati. Anche le città in cui viviamo ne sono piene, basta guardarsi intorno e magari si trovano a pochi passi da noi. Ecco un altro esempio: la Palazzina Liberty di Scalinata Borghese di Genova, passaggio tra i quartieri della Foce e Albaro.
Questa palazzina fu costruita ai primi del novecento per l' "Accademia di Belle Arti" che però non vi fu mai insediata. E' dedicata a Giorgio Borghese, un genovese diventato, come riportato sulla targa di marmo, "Primo Cittadino di Montevideo". Nel corso degli anni fu poi, tra le altre cose, un poliambulatorio, una palestra, un gattile, e infine saltuariamente sede di qualche evento culturale e/o mondano.
Essa è abbandonata da molti anni...
speriamo che, dato l'importante valore storico, la Soprintendenza ai Beni Architettonici la destini un giorno alla fruizione pubblica...

Sometimes, there is no need to go far away up in the mountains or in the middle of a wood to find abandoned villages or places. The cities where we all live are full of examples, just have a look around and maybe you are just few steps away from one of them. Here is another example: the Art Nouveau building of Borghese Stairway in Genoa, between the Foce and Albaro districts.
This building was built in the early twentieth century for the 'Academy of Fine Arts" but it was never established. It is dedicated to Giorgio Borghese, a Genoese which became, as reported on the marble plaque, "First Citizen of Montevideo". Over the years it was then, among the other things, a health center, a gym, a cattery, and then occasionally the place for some cultural and/or mundane events.
The buiding has been abandoned for many years ... we hope that, being of great historical value, the National Architectural Heritage decides one day for public use...

Camminavo nei giorni scorsi lungo la bella passeggiata Anita Garibaldi di Nervi per qualche interessante inquadratura fotografica e sono arrivato qui davanti...
Era un po' di tempo che non andavo a Nervi e mi è venuto in mente, parafrasando la famosa canzone del grande cantautore De André, che questa del famoso ristorante Marinella, era una storia bella...
Costruito agli inizi del '900 venne poi trasformato in edificio razionalista dall’architetto Nicoli di Milano nel 1934, che volle rappresentarlo come una nave sulla scogliera e per tanti anni è stata una bella meta per cittadini e turisti in uno dei posti più belli di Genova. Non è più in funzione da anni ed è entrato ormai di diritto nella categoria dei Luoghi Abbandonati ... l'augurio, per l'anno prossimo, è che non ci rimanga per molto... (una curiosità: è a poche centinaia di metri di distanza dall'altrettanto famosa Stazione di S. I walked in recent days along the beautiful Anita Garibaldi promenade placed in Nervi (Genoa) to look for some interesting photos and I arrived here ... I hadn't gone to Nervi for a quite while and it occurred to me, to paraphrase a famous song by the great Italian songwriter Fabrizio De André, of this story telling about the famous restaurant called Marinella, along the Anita Garibaldi walk in Nervi which was a beautiful story ... Built in the early '900 it was then transformed into a rationalist building by the architect Nicoli from Milan in 1934, who wanted to represent it as a ship on the reef ... It hasn't worked for many months and it is now in the category of the Abandoned Places ... the hope, for the next year, is that it will go out soon...
