Luoghi Abbandonati - PORTOFINO VALLE DEI MULINI

Un "must" per tutti gli amanti del Parco di Portofino*, non solo delle sue bellezze naturali e paesaggistiche ma anche storiche.
Si parte da Portofino Vetta, si arriva a Pietre Strette e dopo un amena e tranquilla discesa in mezzo al bosco si arriva al primo Mulino del Gassetta che fu l'ultimo a chiudere nel secolo scorso. Restaurato in tempi recenti è oggi un bel punto di ristoro con museo.
Scendendo da questo sentiero si potevano contare, un tempo, ben trentacinque mulini di vario tipo, ed alcune fonti narrano che in un certo periodo fossero anche 50. Comunque sia, molti sono stati restaurati e sono oggi abitazioni private. Altri sono ormai ridotti a ruderi e sono, in alcuni casi, immersi e nascosti tra i rami ed i cespugli di quella che potrebbe sembrare a tutti gli effetti una rigogliosa e fitta foresta tropicale. Alla fine della discesa si arriva sul piazzale che ricopre quello che era un tempo il porticciolo di Paraggi e alla sua bella spiaggia.
Lungo il sentiero una piccola lapide ricorda come la bellezza di Portofino sorrise per l'ultima volta al famoso pittore Giuseppe Amisani che proprio su questa passeggiata dipinse uno degli ultimi paesaggi.

A "must" for all lovers of Portofino* Park not only for its natural beauty but also for the historical side.
The hike starts from Portofino Vetta, you get to Pietre Strette and after a pleasant and peaceful descent through the woods you arrive at the Gassetta Mill who was the last to close in the last century. Restored in recent times has become a nice resting spot with museum.
Going down this path could be counted once, thirty-five mills of various types, and sources tell us that at one point they were also 50. Many have been restored and are now private homes. Others are now reduced to ruins and are, in some cases, dipped and hidden in the branches and bushes of what might seem to all effects a tropical forest. At the end of the descent you arrive in the square that covered what was once the Paraggi harbour and its beautiful beach.

FABBRICHE DI CAREGGINE IL PAESE FANTASMA DEL LAGO DI VAGLI – FABBRICHE THE GHOST TOWN OF THE VAGLI LAKE

Fabbriche di Careggine è un paese abbandonato.
Più precisamente è proprio un paese fantasma.
Eh si, perchè compare ogni dieci anni circa.
Ogni qualvolta l’Enel decide di svuotare il lago di Vagli, a Vagli di Sotto, in Garfagnana in provincia di Lucca, nella splendida Toscana.
Per la precisone è però dal 1994 che non si fa più vedere e quindi, questa volta sono tra poco circa venti anni…

Secondo le mie ultime informazioni ne passeranno ancora molti e forse, sembra, non ricomparirà più’.
Una storia simile l’abbiamo anche in Liguria. La costruzione di un lago dell’Amga, il Brugneto nel Parco dell’Antola, ha fatto scomparire due piccole frazioni quelle di Frinti e di Mulini di Brugneto che non sono più riapparse con una sola eccezione e parzialmente in un anno di particolare siccità.
Queste fotografie, tra le diverse fatte con il mio amico Rodolfo, sono rimaste nei raccoglitori e nei cassetti per tanto tempo e sono riemerse anche loro dall’oblio, come l’antico paese, fondato da fabbri bresciani nel lontano XIII secolo.
Allorquando il paese riappari’… tornarono alla luce antichi muri e ambienti, la chiesa, il campanile, il ponte sulla Via Vandelli etc…
Figure… presenze… forse fantasmi… dicono che si aggirino ancora tra quelle mura, e che aleggino sulle acque notturne da quando è stato riempito il lago…
… e la sua fama divenne tale che vennero a vedere Fabbriche persino in aereo delle troupes televisive dal Giappone…

Fabbriche di Careggine is an abandoned town.
More precisely, it is a ghost town.
Oh yes, because it appears every ten years.
Whenever the Enel (the national electric energy authority) decides to empty the lake of Vagli, in Vagli di Sotto, in Garfagnana in the province of Lucca, in wonderful Tuscany.
To be more precise, however, it is since 1994 that you cannot longer see the village, and therefore, they are about twenty years …

According to the my latest information may be it will not be possible to see the village for many years to come, or even nevermore.
A similar story we have in Liguria. The construction of an Amga (the Genoise water supply authority) lake, the Brugneto in Antola Park, made to disappear two small villages called Frinti and Brugneto mills and they no longer reappeared with just one exception, the exception in a particulcularly drought year.
These photographs, among the many taken with my friend Rodolfo, have been in the drawers for a long time and they also re-emerged from oblivion, as the ancient town, founded by blacksmiths from Brescia back in the thirteenth century,
When the village came to light again … returned to life the ancient walls and environments, the church, the bell tower, the bridge on the Via Vandelli, etc….
Figures .. maybe ghosts … they say still wander within those walls, and hover over the waters at night since the lake was filled…
… and his fame became so great that they came to see Fabbriche even by air TV crews from Japan …

Luoghi Abbandonati ACQUEDOTTO STORICO DI GENOVA

L'antica strada dell'acqua provvedeva, sin dai tempi della dominazione dell'impero romano, al fabbisogno idrico della citta' di Genova e del suo porto. Era un lungo canale dove l’acqua scorreva a pelo libero percorrendo tutta la valle del Bisagno.
L'Acquedotto è stato in gran parte recuperato grazie agli interventi delle istituzioni, e di molte associazioni di volontariato e volontari. Ci sono ancora delle criticità relative ad alcuni luoghi abbandonati lungo il percorso che potrebbero essere restaurati in futuro rendendo così tutto l'itinerario una bella passeggiata nel verde. A due passi dal centro di Genova.

 

The old water way dates back to the domination of the Roman Empire, to satisfy the water needs of the city of Genoa and its port. It was a long channel where the water flowed along the entire Bisagno valley.

The aqueduct was largely restored thanks to institutional works , and thanks to many voluntary organizations and volunteers. There are still some critical issues relating some abandoned places along the way that may be restored in the future and making a nice walk in a green area not far from the center of Genoa.

Abandoned vehicles are everywhere around the Liguria mountains. Abandoned for many years they are often full of rust and, in many cases, an integral part of the "landscape"...It is not really a good look environment ....
